I’m not even particularly interested in heavy equipment, but damn it if I won’t drop everything to watch them work if they’re right outside my front door. One day each month, the street sweeper passes by my house, and you know I’m stuck to the window like Garfield watching it pass by.

I don’t want to operate a loader, skidsteer, scraper, dump truck, backhoe, or dozer, and I’ve seen enough Wranglerstar videos to know that I never want to own one, but if someone else is operating one nearby, I’ll always take a minute to see what they’re up to.

I would ask if that’s something I’ll outgrow, but I turned 47 less than a week ago, and there are no signs of it stopping anytime soon.
