I would think that after living nearly half a century in the same spot, I would have seen all of the flora and fauna my ecosystem has to offer, but alas, there always seems to be some new bug popping up that I’ve never seen before.

I bet there was a time, before people began migrating en masse around the world, that someone could be familiar with every kind of creature in their surroundings by a certain age, and never see anything new as long as they lived.

If it meant that I didn’t have to be plagued with those goddamn Aedes Aegytai mosquitoes from April through October every year, I’d be down.
