I went for a walk this evening because I’ve been sitting in front of my computer all day, and my body was screaming to be moved. I went at dusk, which I never do because I have to contend with every asshole and their dog stopping in my way because they think I want to touch their filthy fucking beast. Tonight, though, it was all e-bikes zipping past me from every direction.

Being out at dusk meant opportunities to find something to take a picture of for this interminable challenge I set for myself so many months ago, and the pickings did not disappoint. I took so many great pics, I didn’t know what to post, but I settled on this carcass because it’s the most interesting. It’s so horribly decomposed you can’t tell what it is, but there’s this little paw that looks like a cat.

I noticed a laminated paper lying face down nearby.

I thought, wouldn’t that be funny if it were one of the many missing pet posters I’ve seen hung up around the neighborhood lately, and wouldn’t you know it, it was!

And a light brown cat no less!

Whaddya think? Is it the same cat? 🤷‍♂️
