Bonnie was doing a little mid-Autumn gardening on this oppressively warm 91º November Sunday, and this little guy showed up to see what all the action was about. She understood the assignment, and the camera loved her. Bonnie took my picture while I was taking the mantis’ picture, and she observed that from several feet away, she couldn’t tell what I was looking at. I pointed out that the cars driving by on the street, seeing me on the ground with my ass in the air, had even less information to go on.
