The Christmas lights I bought this year came with very specific instructions on how to install the bulbs and in which order to install them. Red, Blue, Green, Orange, White. I don’t know if it voids the warranty if you install them any other way, or if it will just burn your house down, and I don’t dare to find out.

I noticed, however, that the picture on the box doesn’t have the lights in that order. In fact, only two of the bulbs are in the right place. Why? I know most people would say that it doesn’t matter, and that’s why most people suck. It’s those little details that separate the great from the mediocre.
