I haven’t been in the garden for a while, so I was quite surprised to see how well our little orange tree is doing this year. I don’t know what we’re going to do with them all.

We still have a shopping cart full of apples we haven’t found a use for yet.

About twelve years ago, I was in a business networking group. Yes, it was as lame as it sounds. One of the women in the group gave me a bag of oranges from the tree in her yard, and I took them home to Bonnie.

A few days later, as we were leaving the networking group’s Christmas Party, she asked Bonnie if I had given her the bag of oranges, and Bonnie politely confirmed that I had and elaborated by saying that she and the kids had made orange juice with them. This woman’s eyes bugged out of her head as she exclaimed, “THOSE WEREN’T JUICING ORANGES!”

Her panic made me think that I might need to rush my family to the hospital after they consumed the juice of oranges not meant for juicing. It was such an extreme overreaction that it made me wonder if she was okay. She wasn’t, I would later find out.

I don’t know if the orange on my tree are safe for juicing or not, but damn they’re tasty!
