I saw this egret sitting on a fence, so I stopped to snap its picture. Then, just as I hit the shutter button, another egret came flying by and scared my egret off. It took flight just as I snapped the picture and came flying toward me.

I thought that would be the coolest thing I saw today, but then, just seconds later, as I was continuing on my ride, I looked back over my shoulder to see if anything cool was happening, and a hawk flew past with a snake dangling from its claws. There’s no way that just happened, I thought. It happened way too fast to get my camera out, though, so that was a bummer.
