I made that post seven years ago, and the general consensus about it was that I was being a bummer. The funny thing is, I was bummed about summer being half over. Back then, I used to build up summer in my mind and create all these impossible expectations about those few short months that I couldn’t possibly deliver on, so by the end of August, I was all bummed about how I wasted the whole summer and didn’t do anything cool.

These days, however, I can’t wait for summer to end. I like the short, cold days of winter, but I could do without those awful Santa Ana winds. Anyway, here are some snapshots of mid-summer 2025.
