I want to enjoy reading but almost every book I’ve read in the past 2 years is just awful. For a couple of years, I used to buy classics that I would find at estate sales. I slowly worked my way through them and found that most of them were highly overrated.
Occasionally I find a book that I really enjoy. When I do, I save to read again in the future. So far, when I’ve reread a book that I had liked they have all, without exception, been just awful the second time around.

Of course, even a good book will let you down in some way. I have read plenty of books that I enjoyed right up until the author phoned in the final chapter.
I don’t know that I will do much writing on this subject but if I do you’ll be able to find it here.
