That’s A Big Fat Zero
Bonnie and I took a compatibility test today. I figured it would be a good idea to find out if we’re compatible before we get too far into this relationship.
The test consisted of 100 questions, but it wasn’t written with any sort of metric to determine a compatibility score, so I came up with one. For each question, I gave each of us either a “1” or a “-1” depending on how we answered the question. For each answer that agreed with the question, we got a “1”, and for each answer that disagreed with the question, we got a “-1”.
For each question that we both got a “1” on, I gave us 2 points. For each question we both got a “-1” on, I subtracted two points, and for each question where we had one “-1” and one “1”, we got zero points. In the end, we got a big fat zero, but as I’m writing this, I realize that I added the points wrong.
If we each had either a “1” or a “-1,” we should have had one point because we were in agreement on that topic and therefore compatible. 🤷♂️ Oh well, I think 26 years says more about our compatibility than a test that popped up in my news feed.
