The belts for my tape deck came early, so I jumped back into the repair, but it isn’t going so well. I replaced both belts, put the mechanism back together, popped a tape in, pressed play, and a few seconds later it stopped playing, just like before I replaced the belts.

So, I took it apart again, cleaned some shit, put it back together and tested it, but the main belt had slipped off the wheel and got stuck. I took it apart again, but I couldn’t get the belt back on. I struggled with it until I was ready to throw the whole thing out into the street, and then I came inside to find a video about how to replace the belts, but the only one I could find was awful. I listened to the guy say um after every word for 2.5 minutes before I couldn’t take anymore.

I’ll try again in the morning when I’m not so tired and pissed off.
