What Did I Find? 🤑
I found this old dresser, like I do so many things, at the curb. One of the drawers was busted, and the whole thing was generally unloved.

I could tell that it was very well made, though, and I knew I could easily fix the drawer, so I loaded it onto my trailer and took it home, where it sat for several months waiting for me to find the motivation to do something with it.

That came at the end of last week, when I repaired the broken drawer. I knew I could make more money if I refinished the dresser, but I just didn’t want to make the effort, so I figured I would fix the drawer, clean it up, and make an easy $50. While I was taking pictures for the listing, however, I discovered the manufacturer’s label, and did a quick search to see what they were all about.

My search led me to several listings for the very same dresser I had in my garage, for between $900 and $1,200! They weren’t even in perfect condition either. They were in better condition than mine, but certainly not pristine. I doubt I could get $1,000 for mine, but I’m sure I could get more than $50 from someone who wants to try for the grand.

But then, the greedy side of me keeps thinking about putting in a little more work for that extra cash. I just don’t have the patience or skill to get professional thousand-dollar results.
